By car

The campus of the Technical University of Dortmund is located near the freeway junction Dortmund West, where the Sauerland line A45 crosses the Ruhr expressway B1/A40. The Dortmund-Eichlinghofen exit on the A45 leads to the South Campus, the Dortmund-Dorstfeld exit on the A40 leads to the North Campus. The university is signposted at both exits.

By bus and train

It covers this distance in two minutes.

By plane

From Dortmund Airport, it takes just over 20 minutes to get to Dortmund Central Station by AirportExpress and from there to the university by S-Bahn. A wider range of international flight connections is offered by Düsseldorf Airport, about 60 kilometers away, which can be reached directly by S-Bahn from the university's train station.

Statistical Week 2023

The Department of Statistics of the TU Dortmund University was happy to host the Statistical Week on September 11-14, 2023.

The Statistical Week is the annual conference of the German Statistical Society, organized jointly with the Association of the German Municipal Statisticians. Its extensive four-day program of contributed and plenary sessions, lectures by internationally renowned keynote speakers and the Young Scientists‘ Workshop attract around 500 academics and practitioners from all branches of statistics every year.

The Statistical Week 2023 focused on the following main topics:

Statistical methods for the green transition in energy and transport
Effects of crises on income development and distribution
Spatio-temporal data analytics
