Study abroad

  • Please note: The application deadline for the Erasmus+ program is now 15 February for all universities (for the upcoming winter semester as well as the summer semester of the respective following year)!
  • There are now new cooperations with five more universities in Italy, Austria and Spain.

Erasmus+ study stay

The TU Dortmund University maintains the international exchange of students within the framework of the EU program LLP (Lifelong Learning Program) in the subprogram Erasmus+. This program is the largest mobility program of TU Dortmund University and is based on the contracts (Bilateral Agreements) that the respective department has concluded with a partner at a foreign university. Students can thus use the cooperations of their department for one or two semesters abroad.

Those who wish to complete an exchange study abroad through the Erasmus program have to apply for it. Applicants must be enrolled at TU Dortmund University, have already studied here for at least one year, and meet the language requirements for the destination country.

Further partnerships of the Department of Statistics

The Department of Statistics at TU Dortmund University maintains good contacts with several foreign Statistics departments. Within the framework of these partnerships, exchange programs represent an important point of bilateral relations. In particular, the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sheffield (Great Britain), the Department of Statistics & Statistical Laboratory at Iowa State University (Ames, USA), and the Department of Statistics at the University of Auckland (New Zealand) should be mentioned here. Especially for the exchange program with Iowa State University in Ames, there are extensive agreements, which for example provide that for exchange students coming to Dortmund, a dedicated position as a research assistant at a chair of the department is available.
