General questions for foreigners in education
The Department of Statistics does not offer its own scholarships. Tips on financing your studies and information on scholarships can be found here.
There are no tuition fees, only the so-called semester fee. The current amount and the composition can be found here.
Our degree program is a full-time program, i.e. it is designed to invest 30-40 hours per week in studies. This includes attending lectures, tutorials and seminars (sometimes with compulsory attendance!) as well as reviewing the lecture material, working on exercises, writing reports and preparing presentations. Our program is therefore not designed as a part-time program! Many students are employed on a small scale to supplement the financing of their studies.
An application for credit transfer (e.g. from a previous study program) can be made at any time to the Examination Office Statistics or Data Science or Econometrics. Course credits do not expire.
All questions concerning the study programs of the Faculty of Statistics can be answered by the student advisor team at studienberatung@statistik.tu-dortmund.de.
